Bonsai Trees are great to have around, but they are just so hard to grow and maintain.
Many people, still wanting to have a bonsai tree with little or no maintenance involved benefit from the use of artificial bonsai trees.
Artificial Bonsai Trees look just like the original but, don’t involve as much work as the latter. They come in about any size and shape possible and can be easily bought at a store or built at home.
A large section of Bonsai enthusiasts are now recommending the use of artificial bonsai trees to new bonsai lovers with less time on their hands.
Building an Artificial Bonsai
Building an artificial bonsai is a very simple step-by-step process which anyone can do with very few tools and raw materials.
The tools required to make your own artificial bonsai are:
1. A bonsai pot to hold your plant.
2. A twig for the base of your bonsai tree.
3. A bag of decorative pebbles to hold your bonsai tree.
4. Some resin polymer hardener to hold your pebbles together.
5. Any suitable artificial flower.
6. Bonsai Copper Wire.
7. Some glue or adhesive.
Steps involved in making an artificial bonsai
1. Fill up to half your pot with soil and earth so that your artificial bonsai will have more natural appeal.
2. Make the wooden twig stand on the soil so that it appears as if the soil is holding it up.
3. Fill up the area on top of the soil with the pebbles or decorative rocks so that the bonsai has a rich and elegant look.
4. Re-arrange the pebbles and rocks so that they look uniform and attractive.
5. Apply the resin polymer hardener to the bottom of the pebbles for hardening.
6. Let the resin hardener set for a few hours.
7. Pick up some suitable artificial bonsai flowers and connect them to the bonsai twig branches using bonsai copper wires and glue. You can use the copper wire to hold the flowers together while the glue dries and it adds to the natural look of the bonsai.
8. Place the bonsai in a strategic location to increase its appeal.
Artificial Bonsai Maintenance Tips

b) Constantly dust, clean and maintain the artificial bonsai to make it look and feel like the original.
c) Keep the tree in a cool place with less exposure to heat and dust.
